Hi Neighbor is a San Francisco trio that plays jazz-inspired, upbeat original music

The group was formed in 1997, and includes members Peter Fenczik on bass, Kristina Isberg on tenor and soprano saxophones, and Matt Shelley on drums.

10/09/04 Edinburgh Castle - It was the final gig with original drummer Matt Shelley, and the band had a great time playing together.

5/18/04 Last Day Saloon - Hi Neighbor was the Tuesday jazz bill at the Last Day Saloon, and the band enjoyed playing in the upstairs lounge.

2/5/04 BadaBingo! - Hi Neighbor warmed up the Bingo crowd to start the evening off on the right foot. It was the third time the band had played at BadaBingo. It was a sold out crowd, and the band got them excited for a fun evening of Bingo. This ain't your mama's bingo!

6/12/03 Hotel Utah - What a cool triple bill! Hi Neighbor was joined by Married Couple and the Jenny Maybee Trio. The evening included original mixes of jazz-inspired music.

3/1/02 The Canvas -This was the 7th time Hi Neighbor played at Canvas. The gig was rich for Hi Neighbor because of the many people who came out to see the show: Luca Gorlero and his going away party entourage, Matt Shelley's parents and in-laws, 50 other friends, all in addition to the receptive local crowd.

2/25/02 San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus Giving Back Benefit - Palace of Fine Arts. Hi Neighbor was pleased to contribute to this well-attended fundraising event which benefitted the Gay Lesbian and Straight Education network, the Larkin Street Youth Services, and the Lavender Youth Recreation and Information Center. In loving memory of Al Nichols, who organized this show.

10/4/01 San Francisco Bicycle Coalition Golden Wheel Awards - Honored members of the San Francisco biking community including Chris Carlsson who inspired Critical Mass and Elizabeth Sullivan and Kate White who co-founded City CarShare. Hi Neighbor was glad to show their support for the important work of the Bike Coalition and contribute the music for the evening. More info at SFBike.org.
